What is the greatest example of an actor only being in a movie for the money?

Jaws was up to its 4th installment.

Steven Spielberg’s horrific masterpiece that scared entire generations off beaches was now reduced to a mere cash grab, each sequel worse than the other.

Their second sequel, Jaws 3-D placed at a laughable 15% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The 4th film, Jaws: The Revenge sits at a grand 0%.

But somehow, the latter starred three-time Oscar-nominated prestigious actor Sir Michael Caine who had won a bloody Oscar in the same year the movie was released.

But why would such a highly-regarded actor star in a garbage flick like Jaws 4?

Well, the answer is simple.

Caine was offered 1.5 million dollars to pull an Adam Sandler — take his family to a beach, enjoy a mini vacation, speak a few lines, and leave much richer than when he arrived.

When asked if he had even seen the movie, he simply replied –

I have never seen the film, but by all accounts it was terrible. However, I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific.
