Once, a bomber pilot jumped out of his plane instead of burning with it. He had no parachute and fell to the ground, it was winter and he landed in the forest, his fall was cushioned by several branches as he continued his way to the ground. He suffered some injuries, but was taken prisoner and the officer in charge wrote a note of testimony of his prowess and gave it to him, as proof of his incredible act of survival.
So, yes. If you have a mountain of pillows to cushion your fall, there’s a good chance you’ll survive. I wouldn’t try, because you might as well land in the wrong place.
