Why do Westerners eat pork despite it being the filthiest animal on the planet?

Pigs are actually the cleanest animals on a farm. If they are given the proper living space, pigs will set aside a corner where they will deficate and urinate exclusively. They keep their sleeping spaces very clean. They do wallow in mud when it is really hot outside. Their skin is very sensitive to sunburn and they have figured out if they are covered with mud it provides good protection from the sun. They are very friendly animals and will follow their owners around like a dog. They take excellent care of their piglets. Young pigs are really fun and have a wonderful sense of humour. They love to run around and tease each other. Nothing more entertaining than to watch a brood of piglets playing together. Pigs have gotten a bad rap throughout history. For some reason, Middle Eastern religions (including Islam and Judaism) have falsely cited pigs to be dirty animals. More bacon for us!
