Sorry for the bad quality. This is me in 2009, coming out of a maximum-security penitentiary in Pennsylvania. I served 7 years and refused to ask family and friends to send me money. This meant that I had to settle for prison food and about $25 a month that I “earned” with my “work.” I am 42 years old in the picture and ate all the food offered and made pacts to get all the eggs, tuna and meat I could find. I trained in 2 out of 3 “yards” every day – in the rain, in the cold. They removed our “free weights” from the yard, so I replaced them with continuous pull-ups at the bar, bending, and leg lifting. It’s all about desire and discipline.
