Yes, her great grandfather is Conrad Hilton, who founded the Hilton hotels and who was a very respected businessman. Her father is fairly successful too, and created a huge real estate brokerage firm, Hilton and Hyland.
They are an example of generational wealth. There’s a bunch of Hiltons in that family that haven’t done much with their lives and just milk the inheritance, which is their right too. I suspect the genes got watered down somewhere along the line since Conrad founded the hotel because there are some ditzy relatives in the family tree now.
There were other kids in the family who didn’t fair quite as well. Conrad Hilton had a daughter with actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, and he only left $100,000 to her in inheritance, and she ended up dying poor. Which I’m sure was a bummer given all of her siblings were still rich.
The thing that’s crazy is that Donald Trump named his children in the same way Conrad Hilton did. Conrad had three sons: Conrad Jr, Barron Hilton, and Eric Hilton. Weird stuff.
