Asian squats.
Did you know? You can actually be a few centimeters off the ground squatting and still not fall down but be perfectly balanced?
Picture of French person failing at it.
More squatters.
I actually thought everyone could do this until I saw a video on youtube that interviewed people from other countries not being able to do it.
Buzzfeed video: Can You Asian Squat?
My theory is that we Asians like to sit rather than stand, but we’d rather die than get germs on our butts, thus we developed the Asian Squat.
Another theory is that maybe on average, we just have smaller butts and our center of mass can easily not tip us over our ‘line of balance’.
Rumour has it that some people are still trying this modern sitting art today but still failing.
Thanks, small butt, I guess.

In the comments, other theories mention how we have the squat toilets thus making it ingrained in our muscles to be able to do it.
(Or practicing at a bookstore or market job where you have to allocate the shelf products)
Edit:
Guys, for all those who tried it and thought they were successful… your feet have to be flat on the floor.
Also, you should be so comfortable in that position you can go to the position right after a jump. If you fall, you ain’t part of the natural squatters club! 😉
